Lord Jesus, we come to You as we come to Your word. We just want to contact You. We don’t want to merely get some spiritual knowledge or doctrine; we want to gain more of You. Keep us in the touch with the Lord through prayer throughout the day. Keep us contacting You as we do this and that. Save us from not contacting You. Save us from living in ourselves or by ourselves. Keep us in the touch with You through prayer all throughout the day.

We set our mind not on our flesh but on our spirit. Impart Your divine life into our mind, emotion, and will, and saturate our inner being with Yourself as life.

Lord Jesus, we love You! Thank You for regenerating us with the divine life to make us children of God. Amen, Lord, we want to live a life for You, a life that is pleasing to You. But we can’t do this in ourselves. Lord, in ourselves, that is, in our flesh, nothing good dwells, for the will to do the good is with us but the doing of the good is not. We can’t do it, Lord. We can’t please You in ourselves. We can’t fulfil Your word and commandments in ourselves. We come to You as Your desperate seekers to find out the key to being an overcomer.
