In this reflection for the Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time 2022, Fr. Erik Arnold challenges us to not play it safe when it comes to our relationship with Jesus. Do something crazy as you follow Jesus.
It’s easy to play it safe. We don’t want to stand out. We don’t want to look different. We may we worried that our sins could keep Jesus from wanting to call us closer to himself. These are all the same things that Peter probably worried about.
What is Jesus calling you to? What would it look like to not play it safe with Jesus, but to be bold? What would it mean to you and your families if you decided not to play it safe with your relationship with Jesus?
