Ever felt the urge to control a situation or a person only to end up in chaos? How often do we pause in those moments of disturbance and respond with patience, tolerance, and love? Join me, Michael Maassel, as we navigate the transformative power of acceptance in our latest episode of Monday State of Mind. Drawing inspiration from the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous, we unravel the wisdom and serenity nestled in the practice of accepting people and situations just as they are instead of trying to manipulate them to our liking.
But the journey doesn't stop there. As we move further, an empowering truth unfolds - the problem and the solution both lie within us. It's quite simple to point fingers and deceive ourselves into believing that others are the root of our feelings and circumstances. But what happens when we challenge this notion and take ownership of our reactions and feelings? Find out how embracing personal responsibility paves the way for potential solutions. Remember, you are not alone in this journey. Help is available, and together, we can build better humans. So, why wait? Grab your cup of coffee, settle in, and let's embark on this enlightening exploration of acceptance together.
For over 50 years, Harmony Foundation has worked as a nonprofit to serve those seeking recovery from substance addictions. Our main campus is nestled on a 43-acre campus in the Rocky Mountains just outside of Estes Park, Colorado, that promotes physical, emotional, and spiritual healing.
