Here are 5 SIGNS that you may be in an enmeshed relationship:

 

Murky Emotions: your feelings are entangled with your partner’s. 

Ask yourself: “Are these my emotions - or theirs?”

Individuality is Criminal:

Ask yourself: “Am I allowed to be and value who and what I value?”

Role to Play:

Ask yourself: “Do I have to conform to keep the peace - or, am I walking on eggshells?”

Outsourced Emotions:

Ask yourself: “Do my self-esteem and confidence depend on the quality of the relationship? Am I blamed for their emotions?”

All on You:

Ask yourself: “Is it all on me to make things better or to fix things?”
