  • What Just Happened?

2020, what has happened? A lot!

In this episode Dan and Jo discuss life since launching Enough Room and the beginning of this year.

They discuss the realities of mental health and the toll this year has taken, as well as some of the many plans that have gone by the wayside, this is not such a positive discussion - yet one that is still important.

Fortunately there is much to look forward to and there are certainly positives to draw from the year as well, so listen in to find out a little more of what has happened and what's still to come.

  • Building Bridges

This week Dan and Jo are joined again by Catalina from the Connected Adventist Podcast.

At the end of last week's episode they confronted the elephant in the room; their differing convictions on the subject of sexuality.

They now take the time to reflect on how they can agree to disagree and yet be able to grow together and bless each other.

In a world that has become so polarised, how do we build bridges? How do we connect with people who believe and live differently to us? Can we find common ground?

  • Who is Catalina?

Earlier in the year Dan and Jo were asked to do an interview for the Connected Adventist podcast with Catalina.

Dan and Jo appreciated her warmness and way of approaching people who she disagrees with, so wanted to get to know a little more about who Catalina is, and share that with you.

Catalina shares her journey into faith and learning how to best share that with others while understanding the significance of people through it all - seeing them as the priority, no matter what they may believe.

  • Love the Sinner, Hate the Sin?

Love the sinner, hate the sin.

Such simple words, yet so full of hurt and pain. While they may be true on the surface, they carry so much more than their face value.

Join Dan and Jo as they look at the final part of the message they received on social media, and discuss the real impact of what many well-meaning Christians believe is an appropriate way to deal with 'sinners'. Is this so called 'loving' appeal truly loving?

  • Are We Being Deceived?

For many Christians, the fear of being deceived is real and can be very damaging. Whether it be getting to know new people, watching a new show, contemporary worship music or trying to interpret scripture, this fear often does more harm than good.

Join Dan and Jo in this episode as they continue their response to the message they received on Facebook while reflecting on their experience as an interracial gay Adventist Christian couple and the fear of deception.

  • A Question of Love

Dan and Jo continue to work through a message they received earlier in the year.

This week they explore the topic of love, and what they believe it means to love Jesus.

As they work through the questions raised in the message, they look at

    • How Jesus loved
    • What it looks like to love Jesus
    • What is the law
    • How does the law play out in our lives

They hope to leave you with the understanding of a loving God, with a law of love, who calls us to love others.
