    Summary:

Woo, Wow, and Win reveals the importance of designing your company around service, and offers clear, practical strategies based on the idea that the design of services is markedly different than manufacturing. Bestselling authors and business experts Thomas A. Stewart and Patricia O'Connell contend that most companies, both digital and brick-and-mortar, B2B or B2C; are not designed for service-to provide an experience that matches a customer's expectations with every interaction and serves the company's needs. When customers have more choices than ever before, study after study reveals that it's the experience that makes the difference. To provide great experiences that keep customers coming back, businesses must design their services with as much care as their products.

Innovative yet grounded in real world examples, Woo, Wow, and Win is the key strategy for winning customers-and keeping them.

Genres: Biography & Memoir, Arts & Entertainment

    Summary:

After he died in the backseat of a Cadillac at the age of twenty-nine, Hank Williams?a frail, flawed man who had become country music's first real star?instantly morphed into its first tragic martyr. Having hit the heights with simple songs of despair, depression, and tainted love, he would, with that outlaw swagger, become in death a template for the rock generation to follow. Six decades later, Mark Ribowsky now weaves together the first fully realized biography of Hank Williams in a generation. Examining his music while also re-creating days and nights choked in booze and desperation, Ribowsky traces the miraculous rise of this music legend?from the dirt roads of rural Alabama to the now-immortal stage of the Grand Ole Opry, and finally to a sad, lonely end on New Year's Day, 1953. The result is an original work that promises to uncover the real Hank beneath the myths that have long enshrouded his legacy.

Whats coming next? Who will die? Can it stop? Living in fear for the next shoe to drop. If terrorists come or the world starts to flood, We can rest easy. We were bought with His blood. All we must do is ask for Gods grace, For Him to come in and take His rightful place As the Lord of our lives and the King of our hearts, And that very instant His covering starts. Hell go before us and stop hell in its tracks. His hands will protect us from Satans attacks. You might think Im crazy and that this isnt true, But with the way the world is, what have you to lose? In Fierce Hope Savanna Hartman describes a world that has never been more broken and lost than it is today. People are hurting and want something authentic and real to hold on to. Savanna makes a compelling case that true hope can be found only in Christ. Fierce hope, despite the chaos that is all around you, is within your reach right now.

  • Forgotten Command: Be Holy Audiobook by William MacDonald

    Title: Forgotten Command: Be Holy

    Author: William MacDonald

    Narrator: Paul Ansdell

    Format: Unabridged

    Length: 06:44:14

    Language: English

    Release date: 11-15-16

    Publisher: Words by the Wayside

    Genres: Religion & Spirituality, Christianity

    Summary:

The Forgotten Command: Be Holy is a clarion call for all Christians to follow their Master’s command and to Be Holy.  In the world of today, where holiness is set aside and considered to be outdated, the vital truth of holy living by the Christian has never been more relevant. Christlikeness produces Holiness, and William MacDonald stresses its importance as he looks at every aspect of the Christian life.

“The moment we are saved, we are given a position of holiness before God. Because we are in Christ, we have a holy standing. Our responsibility is to see that our practice corresponds to our position, our state to our standing. In the area of holiness, there is a mysterious mingling of the divine and the human. God wants all of us to be holy. Only He can make us holy. And He will give us the necessary power. But He will not do it without our participation…It is misleading to tell Christians that holiness is by faith alone. It creates the impression that they can sit back and become Christlike without any exer¬tion on their part. It blithely overlooks the hundreds of exhortations in the New Testament directed to their will and calling for their obedience. Salvation is by faith alone, but holiness is by faith and works.”

This book makes compelling and searching listening for those who are serious about obeying the Forgotten Command: Be Holy.

A word about the author: William MacDonald (1917 – 2007) William (Bill) MacDonald was born in Massachusetts. His parents were from the Isle of Lewis and when he was six years old, his family moved to Stornoway, Scotland, later moving back to Massachusetts.

A commended worker for sixty years, a teacher, preacher, mentor, and author of eighty-four books, including the Believer’s Bible Commentary, William MacDonald was a man who said and wrote much. Yet, for the those who knew him well, it was his life that left the greatest impression.

Speaking of the Lord Jesus, the Bible says, “the one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked” (1 John 2:6). Bill wrote in his commentary, “Jesus’ life, as set forth in the Gospels, is our pattern and guide. It is not a life which we can live in our own strength or energy, but is only possible in the power of the Holy Spirit. Our responsibility is to turn our lives over to Him unreservedly, and allow Him to live His life in and through us.”

  • Brothers at Arms: American Independence and the Men of France and Spain Who Saved It Audiobook by Larrie D. Ferreiro

    Author: Larrie D. Ferreiro

    Narrator: David Colacci

    Format: Unabridged

    Length: 16:38:44

    Language: English

    Release date: 11-15-16

    Publisher: HighBridge Company

Genres: History, North America, Europe, Military

    Summary:

In this groundbreaking, revisionist history, Larrie D. Ferreiro shows that at the time the first shots were fired at Lexington and Concord the colonists had little chance, if any, of militarily defeating the British. The nascent American nation had no navy, little in the way of artillery, and a militia bereft even of gunpowder. In his detailed accounts, Ferreiro shows that without the extensive military and financial support of the French and Spanish, the American cause would never have succeeded. France and Spain provided close to the equivalent of $30 billion and 90 percent of all guns used by the Americans, and they sent soldiers and sailors by the thousands to fight and die alongside the Americans, as well as around the world. Ferreiro adds to the historical records the names of French and Spanish diplomats, merchants, soldiers, and sailors whose contribution is at last given recognition. Instead of viewing the American Revolution in isolation, Brothers at Arms reveals the birth of the American nation as the centerpiece of an international coalition fighting against a common enemy.
