In this special follow up episode, I sit down once again with the very vulnerable (and very cool) Davey Lloyd as he enters his second year sober — a milestone worth pausing to celebrate.
You might remember Davey from his powerful first episode, where he shared openly about his battle with cocaine and alcohol addiction, his near death experience in December 2023, and the decision to enter rehab and begin his healing journey. Since then, Davey has been showing up with courage, grit, and heart to rebuild his life from the inside out.
This episode is a celebration of what it really means to do the work. To break cycles. To honour your truth, even when it’s hard. And to discover who you are without the noise.
We also talk about Davey’s growing passion for supporting men’s mental health, especially within the trade community. As someone who understands the pressure and stigma many men face, Davey is determined to be part of the change, encouraging more honest conversations and helping other men know they’re not alone.
As always, Davey brings honesty, humility and soul to the conversation and always manages to make me laugh, and I know his story will continue to deeply resonate with anyone on their own path of recovery.
Trigger warning: This episode contains references to addiction, swearing, and may not be suitable for young ears.
With love and sobriety,
