  • Richard DeVaul Talks Innovation Consulting, Deep Fakes, and Building a Better World

Richard DeVaul, an innovation thought leader, consulting CTO, and founder of HyperSolve joins Enterprise Radio to discuss innovation consulting, deep fakes, and building a better world.
Listen to host Eric Dye & guest Richard DeVaul discuss the following:

    * How would you define innovation?
    * What would you say separates organizations that successfully innovate from those that do not?
    * You’ve written about the dangers of deep fakes. Can you please elaborate on this topic?
    * Cryptocurrency has made a resurgence over the last few years. How would you compare the rise of cryptocurrency to that of the dot-com era?
    * You’ve worked on problems to build a better world, such as climate change and closing the digital divide. What’s a current problem you’re working on to continue to build a better world?

Conclusion: Before you design a product, you need to design the org. And without genuine, visionary leadership in each product team, you won’t inspire greatness. And C-level/VP leadership needs to defend the independence of product team leaders so that real innovation isn’t stifled by org politics and empire-building.

Richard DeVaul is an innovation thought leader, consulting CTO, and founder of HyperSolve. Previously he oversaw early stage innovation activities at X, the Moonshot Factory (formerly Google [X]), starting and leading projects that created billions of dollars of enterprise value, including Project Loon. He was also an early leader of the Foghorn investigation into carbon-neutral synthetic fuels, and the Calcifer investigation into next-generation airships. He has worked on topics ranging from providing low-cost clean water and food in the developing world to grid-scale thermal energy storage to robotics, advanced machine learning, and climate change. Rich was part of X’s executive leadership team and also dealt with issues of X governance, strategy, and organizational change. Rich is listed as an inventor on 73 issued US patents.
Prior to joining X in 2011, he worked in technology advancement at Apple, leading Apple’s Technology Advancement Team, investigating new technologies, features and approaches.
Rich holds M.S. and Ph.D degree from MIT, and a B.A. in Environmental Design from Texas A&M University.

  • Helping change makers transform their life of success
into a life of significance
Jimmy Mistry, Founder & CEO of the Della Leaders Club, the world’s first business platform helping change makers transform their life of success into a life of significance joins Enterprise Radio.
Listen to host Eric Dye & guest Jimmy Mistry discuss the following:
    * How did you come up with the idea of creating Della Leaders Club?
    * Why is Della Leaders Club identified as the World’s First Business Platform?
    * How did the concept go viral? Since you managed to reach the Times Square billboard within a period of less than a year of the inception of Della Leaders Club?
    * How did you get 2000+ members join Della Leaders Club in such a short span of time? What’s your secret?
    * “Life of Success to Life of Significance”…what does that mean?
    * How do you wish to impact the world through Della Leaders Club?
A pioneer of many firsts, Jimmy Mistry never let the discouraging scoffs of competition get in the way of him successfully setting new standards in design, architecture and development. Over the years, he’s managed to have his name across designs for some of India’s giants and forayed into real estate and then hospitality where Della Resorts, Adventure Park & Villas bring to life his vision for modern design and its marriage with luxury.
To be an entrepreneur, is to change the way a system acts and thinks. That sharp business sense combined with a strong commitment to social betterment is what takes a person from an entrepreneur to a giver. And giving back to the community, is exactly what Jimmy Mistry had in mind when he decided quite early on in his journey to switch his business focus back towards the people.
In 2006, he formed a Parsi Resource Group to bring together like-minded individuals from his community, which is one of India’s richest and oldest, to focus their energies towards their priests, who even then, were surviving on minimum wages while being a strong influence on the community as a whole. In the following years, he took an active interest in strengthening his community and went on to win a competitive election to serve as a trustee for Bombay Parsi Panchayat (a 300-year-old charitable organization) for 7 years. What he lacked in political and community service experience, he made up for with his passion to be able to do in return that which was done for him, a lesson he graciously credits his parents for imparting. Following the tragic loss of lives during the 26/11 terror attacks, he set up D.A.T.A (Della Adventure Training Academy) as a tribute to every innocent life lost which aims at igniting the passion to serve the country amongst the youth and providing them with the best counter-terrorism and survival training.
Even today, he continues to see the world no as it is and as it should be. He believes that social entrepreneurs aren’t meant to be heroes, working tirelessly in isolation; but leaders who can create opportunities for themselves and others to play their part in undoing social inequality. At Della Leaders Club, that is exactly the philosophy he aims to bring into practice by helping change makers transform their life of success into a life of significance.

  • Concierge Medicine and Healthcare for All Families

Dr. Tom Ziering, MD, who leads Ziering CCPHP, a membership-model program focused on optimizing health care, providing primary care, LBGTQ care, concierge medicine, and healthcare for all families while fostering strong doctor-patient relationships joins Enterprise Fit Radio.
Listen to host Eric Dye & guest Dr. Tom Ziering discuss the following:

    * Dr. Ziering, why don’t’ you start by telling us about how you became a physician and why you chose to focus on family medicine for all families?
    * What made you decide to transition to a concierge model? How did you see it benefiting you as a physician (model of care, financial sustainability, professional and personal flexibility, etc.)?
    * What do you see as the key benefits to the Members of your concierge program? Have there been any particular benefits during the COVID pandemic?
    * How have your patients reacted to the change? How do you find that this model contributes to helping patients seek optimal health?
    * What would your best advice be for other doctors who are considering transitioning to a concierge model?

Dr. Ziering’s innate passion for healthcare and drive to pursue a career in Family Medicine began at an early age. Both he, his siblings, parents, and grandparents were seen by the same Family Physician (who also delivered Dr. Ziering) and he found the concept to be comprehensive, inspiring, and familiar. After attending Muhlenberg College and graduating Magna Cum Laude with a dual major in Biology and Natural Science, he went on to receive his MD from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (Rutgers).
He attended the Robert Wood Johnson/Somerset Medical Center Family Practice Program, graduating with the Resident Educator Award by Colleagues. He was recognized as a National Speaker in various aspects of healthcare both physical and emotional. Postgraduate, Dr. Ziering opened his own private office and served as a Clinical Researcher for Experimental Medications involved in the first wave of the HIV/AIDS pandemic. Ever eager to learn new material at the time of the “wave” of antidepressant development, Dr. Ziering became an educator on the subject for the University System. Dr. Ziering’s passion to remain on the frontlines during the HIV/AIDS pandemic mirrors his approach in caring and for patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. He has been available to his patients via telehealth and has remained in-office so that patients could be treated in person, should the need arise.
Shortly after joining Morristown Medical Center in 1992, Dr. Ziering became Chairman of the Department of Family Medicine. Aside from traditional family practice caring for both newborns and seniors alike, he continued to research areas new to medicine. His additional studies taught him about Transitional Medicine and Healthcare unique to the LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer Community). He became a Medical Director for LGBTQ Healthcare while maintaining his traditional practice base. Dr. Ziering wishes to create a safe haven for ALL families regardless of race, beliefs, religion, and sexual identity.
To reinforce the feeling of comfort, Dr. Ziering’s practice to this day does not have the appearance of a medical office. The exam rooms are designed to look like small living rooms, affording face-to-face contact in a calm and tranquil environment. Aromatherapy, water fountains, and sound soothers are also utilized along with the joy of having a Therapy Dog, Bentley (a 15-pound cockapoo), who is in the office to help allay fears and concerns.
