Hip-hop artist and songwriter Cameron Sean is a breath of fresh air to the music scene with lyrics saturated in grippingly raw and wholehearted, genuine perspective for which the genre is known. At 18 years old, he had topped national charts, taking over the #1 spot on college radio stations across the country with “Prada Frames” and capturing the attention of industry heavy-hitters. Now, well into his twenties, his ever-expanding hit list includes collaborations with Grammy-nominated jazz musician Richie Goods and multi-talented Taiwanese composer/contemporary percussionist Chien Chien Lu. Chinese by birth, he is also a passionate advocate for the #StopAsianHate movement, seeking to inspire systemic change not only through his rhymes but also through his actions.
Cameron Sean grew up in a bi-racial home in Westchester, NY, as one of three boys born to second-generation immigrants. His parents carried the memories of their collective struggle to form a cultural identity within mid-century American mores, ensuring Cameron Sean and his brothers were afforded a better life – and, he adds, “plenty of delicious, traditional Chinese food.” Grateful for the strong foundation his parents provided, the artist still faced more than his share of hardships. At just 13, Cameron Sean fractured his back in a basketball game, ending his dream of a future in collegiate sports and initiating a long journey to find healing, both physically and emotionally.
The setback, however, catalyzed his movement toward music, transforming a casual hobby into a life-saving outlet for his pain, heartbreaks, and triumphs. After years of honing his craft, Cameron Sean’s current creative process involves a mix of freestyle flow and courageous self-exploration. Inspired by his father and influenced by generational greats like Drake, Eminem, and Lil’ Wayne, Cameron Sean looks to forge his unique path toward a lasting legacy, making an indelible mark on tomorrow’s sound. With the full support of his family behind him, he has faced down every hater with a meticulous mastery of a skill that comes from persistent hard work and relentless dedication.

  • Embracing the power of ‘AND’ with Matt Rubin of True Essence Foods

Matt Rubin, the CEO of True Essence Foods, a food technology company that is rethinking everything we know about food joins Enterprise Radio.
Listen to host Eric Dye & guest Matt Rubin discuss the following:

    * What’s your background and how did you start True Essence Foods?
    * How is True Essence technology disrupting the food/beverage industry?
    * How are you approaching sustainability differently?
    * How do you bring balance to your company culture and the type of leader you are?
    * What does the future of food look like to you?

Matt Rubin started his science career as a child. He entertained himself in the lab with liquid nitrogen and rubber bands while his mother, a biochemist, conducted experiments. Through lessons at home and adventures outdoors, Matt developed a deep appreciation for nature in its purest form.
Over the years, Matt studied chemistry, physics, and engineering, but biology remained his true passion. But studying biology alone wouldn’t protect an organism or ecosystem. He looked beyond the sciences and realized that the business community wasn’t invested in sustainability or the environment. And biologists weren’t invested in the business community’s economic concerns. So he devoted himself to learning business to become a liaison between the two—manifesting science into business opportunities.
True to his passion, Matt closely followed the emergence of thought around sustainability. While industries focused on changing one thing about their strategy, Matt worked on a truly sustainable solution that holistically accounts for five key variables—food, water, energy, transportation, and waste management. To this day, that approach guides True Essence.

  • Construction project scheduling should be realistic, not optimistic

Michael Pink, the CEO of SmartPM Technologies, the premier platform for analysis of construction-schedule data joins Enterprise Radio.
Listen to host Eric Dye & guest Michael Pink discuss the following:

    * Scheduling is important in every industry, but none more so than the construction industry. Please explain why that is the case.
    * Why are so many construction schedules poorly constructed?
    * How does your product work, and how does it help construction companies stay on budget and on time?
    * One of the ramifications of poorly developed schedules is the potential for litigation. How does your product help avoid that, and what purpose does it serve if litigation is actually initiated?
    * Your product teaches users an important lesson – that construction schedules need to be develop based on reality, not hope. Do you think this lesson can apply to companies in any industry that has to create any kind of schedule?

SUMMARY: Over the years, the construction industry has been plagued with scheduling issues. Too many schedules are created that are unrealistic in terms of project completion, milestones, and workflow. Through a sophisticated analysis process, SmartPM can help identify the areas that have the most potential for delays, overruns and, ultimately, litigation. But more than that, the product clearly highlights the need to create better schedules upfront using data that is more accurate and up-to-date. This is a lesson that can be translated to almost any industry: that schedules need to be created based on reality, not hope. It does no good to develop a schedule for any type of project or job that may please the folks in the executive suite but ultimately is unachievable. When it comes to schedules, it’s better to be honest than optimistic.

Michael Pink has been Chief Executive Officer of SmartPM since 2017. Prior to founding SmartPM™, Michael spent nearly 20 years in the construction industry providing analytics to assist in project controls, risk management, and dispute avoidance/resolution services on construction projects of all types and sizes across the globe. He is a Certified Cost Engineer (CCE) through AACE International and is also licensed as a Certified Planning and Schedule Professional (PSP) through the same organization. He holds an MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business and is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology.
