Jerod Couch is a 2x regional Emmy Winner (12x Nominee) from Dallas, Texas. A Director/Producer/Writer/Editor, Jerod has completed two seasons, eighteen episodes total, of his award-winning series “#WASHED”. His agency, The Creative Couch, won Dell’s “Small but Mighty” contest for “#WASHED”. Couch’s career highlights consist of a five-year stint at ESPN including launching a network and three seasons leading creative for Major League Baseball’s Texas Rangers. Jerod’s work has been featured in Inc Magazine, USA Today, Sports Illustrated and Yahoo! Sports. Despite 15 years of experience creating content, “#WASHED” is Jerod’s foray into filmmaking and long-form scripted content. Season 1 of the half-hour dramedy was selected to four festivals, won “Best of Fest: Audience Choice” at the Hip Hop Film Festival and nominated for “Best Comedy” at the Indie Series Awards. Couch relishes in the intricacies of organization/culture building, marketing/public relations and overall strategy of television/film which is fortified by his Radio-TV-Film and MBA degrees from The University of Texas at Austin.
