NASHVILLE'S ONLY VETERAN OWNED & OPERATED TOUR OPERATOR
I’m a combat veteran, Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, former UK Parliamentary Fellow, and the founder of Nashville Adventures, a walking tour company I built from a $3,600 passion project into a $500K award-winning business in under two years, without outside capital, insider connections, or tourism industry backing.
My journey into entrepreneurship started in Afghanistan. After an injury on deployment, the recovery process left me with nothing but time and a lot of survivor’s guilt. To rebuild a sense of purpose, I began volunteering at the Patton Museum at Fort Knox, giving historical tours. I didn’t realize it then, but that experience would change the entire trajectory of my life. It taught me that storytelling can heal, connect, and rebuild identity. Years later, when I moved to Nashville, I turned that realization into a business.
Nashville Adventures is now one of the fastest-growing independent tour companies in the city, known for immersive history experiences instead of gimmicks. We’ve served more than 15,000 guests, earned multiple tourism awards, and donate 1% of all revenue to veteran-related causes and local scholarship programs.
My story resonates with listeners because it intersects resilience, service, entrepreneurship, and purpose-driven business. I’m comfortable going deep about trauma, rebuilding identity, meaningful work, leadership lessons from the battlefield and the Peace Corps, scaling a bootstrapped company, or navigating Nashville’s evolving tourism landscape.
