We conform to the believes, values, and world views of others in an effort to be accepted by the group. This is not the way to a happy and fulfilling life... This paradigm doesn't favor one race, social class, or group. If we want a better life, we must become aware of the influence of those surrounding us. Only the can we make the conscious decision to distance ourselves or in some cases, cut them out completely from our lives.
