Question: Why do "ninjas" try to overstep their boundaries, when they already know their lane?

When they do this it makes the female have to carry the situation left when they really wanted to see where it would go. Although she isn't uncomfortable telling him she'll pass it's frustrating because him wanting to overstep and rush messes up the bond that was being built and they both miss out on something that could've been good.
