University of Scranton’s Journal of Clinical Psychology is often referenced and shows about 46% of individuals will maintain a New Year’s resolution beyond the 6 month mark. 


Stages of Change Model: 1. Precontemplation, 2. Contemplation, 3. Preparation (Determination), 4. Action, 5. Maintenance, 6. Relapse.
