Many school systems across the United States have already ended the school year while others are approaching the end. Getting to the end evokes a spontaneous sigh of relief mixed with a strong sense of gratitude. I have done some reflecting and gleaned lessons from the experiences of teaching virtually for this entire school year. Reminisce with me as I share the roller coaster-like events of teaching and learning during a pandemic. Parents and caregivers will find nuggets that can be used to have conversations with their children about their experiences during what may well be the most challenging school year.
