Join Mike and Raf this week as they continue their discourse on mental health and more importantly, how it plays an existential role in our lives individually, and collectively in the ether of our current culture. They run the gamut in this discussion. They share personal experiences regarding people close to them, as well as, their own mental health battles and the immediate ripples it had in their lives. More importantly, they discuss the strategies they used individually to get to a better mental space. Raf shares excerpts from a profound reading he’s recently picked up from famed longevity pioneer Dr. Peter Attia, that have helped him understand why so many men continue down the same path, seemingly, unassuming. Mike touches on his own past and present issues, and the immense importance of being open about our experiences so that we can help reframe the idea that seeking mental health therapy is anything but weak. In the contrary, both men agree that it is one of the strongest gestures you can commit. That is, to identify that you’re in a terrible place as a result of some inevitable traumatic event, and moving forward, as difficult as it may seem, to seek help. Simply put, to continue fighting the good fight.
