Join Melon and Raf as they dive into a topic that is near and dear to their hearts. Fathering. They willing and enthusiastically talk about the challenges of doing the hardest part of parenting, which usually involves just being truly present. They discuss the challenges they faces as fathers in their early stages, understanding the balance of love and discipline, and now seeing the fruits of that labor bloom today. They openly talk about the power and impact parents have on their children not just in the present, but as something that they’ll carry into the future. Raf admits that his biggest challenges are getting the calculus right. Meaning, how to balance the work-home life equation, followed by…how to then create the time that is solely dedicated to impact his son in the best way possible. Melon shares the delicate and beautiful relationship of the stages his kids are in now. In their late teens, he celebrates their autonomy and ultimately know the reward will come in the form of their individual desires to continue to reintegrate themselves, even as young adults, with their parents.
