Lorraine Thomas, Founder, and creator of View from My Window, describes herself as being a mentor, property developer and landlord with a social purpose. Lorraine believes in doing what she can to help lift others and she is on a mission to be a positive role model for young black people, showing them what is achievable if you are determined.
Lorraine shares her journey of leaving her career in business development in the legal sector, to take care of her father, living a wage that barely covered the bills. Through her willingness to be so loving and caring, she opened herself to a new role of procuring rental properties for disadvantaged young adults, and then buying and developing properties in this sector.
Lorraine believes that property is not the privilege of the rich and well-connected and strives to get people into homes that wouldn't normally be within their reach.
