Club Thrive: The Podcast

Ep 06: Embracing Rest To Avoid Physical, Emotional & Creative Burnout

Listen Later

This is SUCH a juicy episode: Being passionate about your work is natural, yet it can seriously impact your confidence and even your health if all of the focus is going towards 'the outcomes'. I get it! I'm with you, I understand so let's help ensure you don't burnout - the world needs your genius in as many thriving forms as possible! We have to be accountable for our own health, energy, mindset and wellbeing, but it can be hard especially when you are ambitious and a creative. Me too! Even running Club Thrive, recently I’ve started to become aware that i might be beginning to survive instead of thrive! So I know I need to chill out, slow down and enjoy the moments in-between. This week is inspired from a chat within the Club Thrive community - you get to choose how you design your approach to work. Don’t be afraid to rest and take time out too

In this episode I cover:

  • How to manage your energy: using the number guide of how much energy you’re putting into things eg if your career is getting a 10 but your health and self care is at a 2 that’s an imbalance
  • How to maintain confidence when you’re not getting back what you put in
  • Self care and what that means for you
  • Building the trust in your TRUTH - who are you? How do you want to be known?
  • Are you setting realistic goals? Stretch yes but make sure you CAN achieve something towards where you want to go
  • Where are your beliefs at? if you’re wanting to run a multi million pound coaching company but just qualified last week you might not have the experiences or beliefs to match that desire
  • Eg vision board - on your vision board do you believe you are worthy of the things you desire?
  • Rest is as valuable as the effort. When stress comes in to it, what if your energy will bring in more money because you show up in a more aligned, energised and passionate individual
  • Boundaries! Do what you need to do to thrive in your personal and professional life

  • QUOTES from Alan Watter

“Muddy water is best cleared by leaving it alone.”

“To have faith is to trust yourself to the water. When you swim you don't grab hold of the water, because if you do you will sink and drown. Instead you relax, and float.”
