Ep 072: Wondering and worrying while working at home

Listen Later

Welcome to episode 72, where Richard and Pilar explore some of the ways working at home can contribute to our experience of 'Impostor Syndrome'.

This is the irrational and powerful sense that we don't deserve our successes, our jobs, our rewards. A way of thinking that can be exhausting and destructive, preventing us from deriving satisfaction from work - and isolation from colleagues may well contribute to it.

Working at home, especially when in the middle of a pandemic, can contribute to feelings of self-doubt. We can wonder if we're 'doing enough' or if we're keeping up with our colleagues. We can wonder if we're missing out on important conversations and feel unwilling to share our concerns with others for fear of being judged.
