EP 08 - Lauri Baker Pacheco, Keeping Financially Fit with Commission
Why do people avoid talking about money? We all know knowledge is power and usually getting informed is the first step, so why has society discouraged us from learning and growing in a part of our lives which can have such a huge overall impact? Shouldn’t we be sharing the knowledge we’ve acquired and passing it down through the generations?
What You’ll Learn
Why self control is unavoidable and necessary on the journey to becoming financially fit
Tips for how to reduce your impulse purchase by putting them off and not acting in the moment
Some of the tax relief strategies that agents on commission may not be aware of
Why Lauri feels that people need to break the family tradition of not talking about money and to ask people how they have become successful
Why Lauri is a fan of residual income even though a lot of people are not
How to decide if a financial advisor is a good fit for you to work with based on your personality and goals
Why you need to know what your financial goals are if you plan to get anywhere

Lauri Baker Pacheco has three adult daughters and is eagerly anticipating the arrival of her fifth grandchild. Her primary goal is to be a better grandmother than she was a mother, striving to be an example her family can be proud to follow.
Lauri is determined to break generational curses, particularly regarding financial decisions. She aims to ensure that her grandchildren benefit from her example and teachings about money management and financial literacy.
Throughout her life, Lauri has helped many people, especially women, in various areas of their lives, similar to a life coach. Having been married three times, she has experienced multiple fresh starts. She was a teenage mom who married in high school, divorced after 23 years to become a single mother, and left an abusive relationship with a controlling partner who committed suicide before their divorce was finalized, leaving her responsible and technically widowed. She started over from scratch once again.
Lauri has driven commercial trucks for several years, earning a good income but lacking the education to fully utilize it. Her mindset has since evolved, and she has spent the last three years working diligently on personal development. She has hired several coaches who have helped her find her purpose.
Lauri loves helping others, constantly learning and sharing valuable information with those who can benefit. She is passionate about empowering others through financial education, teaching concepts not covered in school, and she does this for free. These tools are essential for winning the money game and include things she wishes she had known at 19.
Currently, Lauri is growing her own financial firm and seeking partners to join her crusade. Her mission is to leave no family behind.
