Michael Borrelli is a compliance and regulatory specialist with an unrelenting passion for the blockchain sector. He has almost a decade in financial services at both buy-side and sell-side firms putting in place tailored regulatory architecture for FICC trading as well as crypto assets. He has held senior positions in firms regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and at a virtual asset service provider working across and with teams in the back-, middle- and front-office.

Michael acts as the chief operating officer for Convex, a real-time decentralised blockchain platform, and continues to drive change in the cryptoasset sector. He has a passion for using academic rigour and research capabilities to solve the challenges faced by firms today.

Michael has a BA in economics, a master's in law, an MBA and has completed the renowned courses in crypto at the University of Oxford and the Massachusetts institute of Technology.
