Episode 1 – Bonus Content – CannaExpo

Where was it held?: Vernon Hills, IL

We went out to Vernon Hills at the beginning of September 2018 to an incredible free event that was hosted for the public to attend. This expo that PDI Dispensary and Elevele Dispensary hosted brought in many cultivators and cannabis organizations. It gave the ability to share their information with many great conversations and information leaflets with current cannabis patients and those that are curious about the benefits of cannabis. We were able to test out some unmedicated treats by the mistress of delicious herself through her new line of baked treats Mindy’s Edibles from Cresco Labs Edible line. We also got to take home a lot of swag from other cultivators but the biggest takeaways were in the stories we were able to sit in and listen to.

Many speakers attended the CannaExpo from physicians to a heart wrenching patient panel. There was even an honorable Veteran along with his canine companion who shared his VA stories and how he has had to deal with his night terrors and extreme PTSD through the help of his cannabis use. The stories we heard ranged from physicians having difficulties in the medical field trying to assist their patients ailments to patients themselves sharing the turbulations they have faced so that they could potentially help others.

We want to thank those brave patients who shared their heartfelt stories with us to make us and others that attended understand on a deeper level the real benefits of this cannabis medicine. We learned a lot from them as well as the Physicians Dr. Leslie Mendoza Temple and Dr. Fernando Solar.
