EP 1: There's A Wave Coming In - '60's & '70's Bay Area Bands
Southern California exported its own brand of weirdness in the late 1960's and early 1970's. For every band that became a huge success, like Jefferson Airplane and The Grateful Dead, there are other groups who performed for a short time, made their statement and then disappeared or disbanded. From cease and desist letters from the Salvation Army to exploding records, here's a few albums I have from bands that just scrape the surface of how "far-out" those times were.
Music, in order of appearance: "Yuk-Yuk", "Come On Over Here", "She Said Yeah", "Think Twice" & "Salvation Jam" by Salvation.
"Ouroboros Part 1 & 2" by The Serpent Power
"3 Songs" (featured twice, at the start and end of their segment), "II Car Raga" and "One Of A Kind" by 1 [One]
