14th January is known as quitter's day; as the day that people give up on their New Year's Resolutions. I'm not a big lover of New Year's Resolutions but I do love setting goals.
In this week's solo episode, I delve deeper into why, in the past, you've found it tough to stick to a goal and what you can do to ensure 2023 is your year!
I talk about:
- why going deeper than SMART goals is so important
- the mindset behind setting goals
- the importance of your values
- why you shouldn't set goals based on 'shoulds' or 'have to's'
- how identity is such a huge piece in setting goals
- why being honest about potential obstacles can set you up for success
During the episode I talk a lot about the book Atomic Habits by James Clear which is a great book if you want an even more detailed look into setting goals and creating new habits.
