Stop Drinking and Start Living- The Feminine Way

Ep. #107 Client Spotlight: Grounded in Grace w/ Paula

Listen Later

My wonderfully graceful client, Paula, learned that the only way to change, was to first admit what was wrong. Paula found herself and on the other side of the empty nest and was experiencing a transition in her purpose and identity.  The emotions became easier to avoid with wine, until the wine became the real problem. Changes in life create new thoughts and new emotions, especially when those changes affect the core of who you are and how you relate to life. In essence , they trigger the fight or flight mode.  The nervous system isn't regulating, hormones and chemicals are shifting and you are figuring out a new way to survive.

Wine seemed like the familiar quick fix and a little pick me up to process the day to day.
Until the desire for it starts to our weight the discomfort of the initial problems it was solving.
Paula's couragousness to come clean to herself about the fear of changing her relationship to alcohol, was the first step.
Loving herself, the second.
And staying committed to a new way, the third.
Hear her incredible journey and all of the stress she was able to relieve just from NOT drinking.  And about the permission she was able to give herself to enjoy peace for a job well done.
Thank you, Paula, you are truly amazing. xxoo
