In the first episode, we talked about diet culture and how it took a turn in Amelia’s fitness journey. Luckily she soon realised what it was doing to her body, her mind and her health. So in this episode, we continue to listen to her journey on how things finally started to turn around for her for the better and also how the pandemic actually helped her completely let go.
When you get into fitness, sometimes you do want your body to show your progress and your gains. Which is completely okay but don’t get too caught up in a definitive number of calories and cutting so much that you lose yourself to food. Food isn’t the only important thing in the fitness equation. Know what works for your body and know how you are feeling that day.
She discusses a few of the influences that also took her out of the rabbit hole with the links below. If you have also embarked the fitness journey, these 3 girls are definitely worth listening to and learning from:
Natacha Oceane @natacha.oceane: uses great science backed approach to help people understand how to proper dieting works
Stephanie Buttermore @stephanie_buttermore- follow her to learn about her 'all in' journey
