If I’ve learned anything as a thought leader in the age of the Internet it’s this: when it comes to sharing your message, it’s not always easy to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
Even though we want to create a ripple in the fabric of existence with who we are, what we know and what we do — even though we know the world needs to hear what we were put on this Earth to say — there can be so much internal noise and pressure that keeps us from fully saying it.
So much pressure to say it quickly to capture someone’s attention. To say it perfectly so it’s received as we intended. To say it potently so it gathers engagement. To say it honestly and boldly even if others might get triggered, judge you, criticize you, attack you or even “cancel” you.
But I believe that if you're really here to make a difference, there will come a moment where you decide that the fear of bumping into any of these unwanted experiences becomes too heavy — and you’re forced to make a choice: keep censoring your self-expression — or break free from your patterns, unleash your voice and start actually leading a movement with your authentic truth.
This is exactly what I’m chatting about inside of today’s episode with Lois McKenzie.
