We all want to experience love, peace, joy and freedom—but often, we only allow ourselves to feel those states when Life looks the way we think it should. When things align with our desires, expectations and mental model of how it’s all “supposed” to be. In this episode, we explore how to begin accessing the vibration of well-being—not by fixing your life, but by quieting your mind, stepping out of its narratives and living fully in the present moment.

In this episode, we’re exploring how mistaking your mind’s thoughts for the ultimate truth creates unnecessary pain—and how recognizing those thoughts as conditioned filters allows you to step out of them and return to the frequency of well-being.

One of the greatest barriers to the peace, ease and joy we desire to experience—as well as the growth, evolution and freedom—is our resistance to what is. But when you understand that it’s the mind’s incessant judgements and labels that are causing this resistance—and you're simply falling asleep to them, which is creating your unhappiness—a massive portal opens up. You realize that at any moment, you can end your own suffering by recognizing that you're caught in a distortion, stepping outside of your mind's conditioning and allowing what is… to be. This is exactly what we’re diving into inside of this episode.

In this episode, my friend and previous client Jonathan Perez is interviewing me on all things consciousness and mastering your mind. Inside, we're talking about why breaking free from your conditioned thoughts and automatic perceptions (and their corresponding emotional patterns) is the key to awakened living and a peaceful and intentional life, and of course, how to start doing that here and now.

Right now, there's an incredible amount of suffering happening on the planet—both on an individual level and on a collective level. And from where I stand, however it manifests, the root of this suffering always comes back to one thing: our level of consciousness.
Are we able to recognize our thoughts as thoughts—or do we believe them? Are we able to feel, honor and process our emotions as they arise—or do we become them? Are we aware that all of these thoughts and emotions have created a conditioned identity that's controlling our behavior and state of being—or are we too busy falling asleep to it and projecting it out into the world?
When we become more deeply aware of the ego and all of the pain it creates from confusing it as who we are—and when we learn how to transcend it on a moment-to-moment basis, we're able to not just step into peace, but live here. And this is what we're discussing in this episode.

If I’ve learned anything as a thought leader in the age of the Internet it’s this: when it comes to sharing your message, it’s not always easy to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
Even though we want to create a ripple in the fabric of existence with who we are, what we know and what we do — even though we know the world needs to hear what we were put on this Earth to say — there can be so much internal noise and pressure that keeps us from fully saying it.
So much pressure to say it quickly to capture someone’s attention. To say it perfectly so it’s received as we intended. To say it potently so it gathers engagement. To say it honestly and boldly even if others might get triggered, judge you, criticize you, attack you or even “cancel” you.
But I believe that if you're really here to make a difference, there will come a moment where you decide that the fear of bumping into any of these unwanted experiences becomes too heavy — and you’re forced to make a choice: keep censoring your self-expression — or break free from your patterns, unleash your voice and start actually leading a movement with your authentic truth.
This is exactly what I’m chatting about inside of today’s episode with Lois McKenzie.

What comes to your mind when you hear the word “surrender”? If you’re like most people, you’ve probably associated the act of surrendering with weakness; with giving up, not caring or quitting.
But from where I stand, surrender isn’t about giving up your desire for a more expansive existence — it’s simply asking you to let go of your resistance so you can experience more peace. Here, now and non-circumstantially.
Which is why in this episode, we’re talking all about what it looks like to live in alignment with surrender, not just as a mental concept, from an embodied state.
