Mike Block is an eclectic composer, singer-songwriter and cellist who performs with Yo-Yo Ma's Silk Road Ensemble. He has freed himself from the ordinary constraints of playing the cello sitting down with his innovative Block Strap which allows him to move freely and even dance while playing. This episode features some of his great compositions and improvisations with a variety of musicians including Sandeep Das on the tabla.
