The Price Is Retro 25:50

If this is your first time playing Price Is Retro, here’s how we play. I’m going to list off 4 or 5 games and everyone has to guess how much the lot is worth in total. Whoever is closest to the actual value wins that round! Everyone has a list and everyone guesses on each other's list. At the end, the player that won the most rounds wins the episode! But watch out for for our trio of automated competitors: The Ghost (Polterguest), the Robot (Deus Guess Machina), and the Dinosaur (???Retrosaurus???)  They each make their own guess as well!

@txTrey

Guys I've never played super Metroid more than an hour because I got stuck and gave up. I've beaten dread, fusion, and returns remake. Should I walk or run into playing super Metroid? Does it do anything better than the games that came after it? Or was it remarkable for being the first of the great Metroid games?

I play it for the first time ever a few years ago and it's undoubtedly one of my favorite games of all time now.

BUT I didn't play it without some help. There are a few points in the game where what you need to do next is unintentionally opaque. I own the paper guide so I limited myself to that. But if you get stuck, just look it up.

The game is amazing and 100% worth playing.

As an adult with normal adult responsibilities, there are plenty of retro games that will give you a much more enjoyable experience using a guide when you don’t have endless childhood summers and afternoons filled with nothing but free time to explore every single pixel of a game.

After coming off Metroid and many Summer afternoons firing your way thru an underground maze; do you feel Super Metroid in comparison was an easier game to finish since you had a working foundation now? (edited)

Which genre needs to make a comeback?

Claymation games

3D fighters that are very realistic

Guitar Hero games

Hong Kong style bullet time shooters

WW2 first person shooters that are not multiplayer

Mech sims

Name 5 franchises that are better than super metroid
