The Golden and Platinum Rules may not be as clear as we think. We may attach hidden conditions and expectations to how we show up for others. This can leave us feeling disempowered, contrary to the basic intention of both rules. The essence of both rules is simple, but people globally have different values and perspectives. Therefore, a blend of both rules may be optimal, which requires deeper inquiry into ourselves and others.
