Selling on Facebook Lives

“The great thing about doing lives is that you’re actually forming connections with people.”

Andrea Treu

In today’s episode, Andrea Treu, a Facebook party expert, shares some really great gold nuggets on how to host a successful live party. Before Andrea was married she did medical sales and loved it. As her kids got older she wanted to be a stay-at-home mom.  She thought about what jobs she might like and everything she thought of meant her leaving the house and not being home. She watched her friend do a Facebook live and it was so fun. One day it just hit her, She could do this!

Andrea had been asked to join multi-level marketing before, but just never felt good about it and never wanted to. She didn’t want to be that person bugging people.  She kind of held off but kept getting this nudge. She talked with her husband who said she would be good at it, so she took the plunge and joined. She feels that it has been a huge blessing and she doesn’t have to leave the house!

“Facebook parties, especially now with COVID, are the best way to get people’s eyeballs on your stuff . ” - Brooke Elder.

Some people do home parties, but the amount of faces you get in front of is so much smaller, it really isn’t to your best benefit. Facebook parties reach a much larger audience. It takes effort to get started and build up an algorithm. For the first few months, it takes a lot of posting and commenting on people’s posts to build that up.

For parties in general it’s important to send an announcement in the morning that you are going live that night. Then a couple of hours later send out an engagement post. Be sure to comment back when people make comments on that post. One of the biggest things is you’re trying to get the people that get on to share it. Getting people on is so important for your algorithm and also for your own energy.

Andrea gives three tips on how to have a successful Facebook party.

Being consistent is the biggest thing. If women know that you are on every Tuesday, don’t change that unless it is absolutely necessary.

Remind people. A lot of your customers want to get on, they just get busy and don’t remember.

You have to look professional. If you look like you just rolled out of bed, no one is going to stop and look at you.

“You have to make it about the people more than any money you earn.” - Andrea Treu.

You can’t take yourself too seriously  and you have to be willing to be normal.  To be truly successful you need to have the people know that you genuinely care about them. If you want to connect with Andrea and maybe watch one of her lives you can find her on Facebook. Her personal profile is Andrea Swain Treu and her business page is Blings Come Treu with Andrea.
