Yinon Muallem is a composer, percussionist and oud player. He grew up in Israel and lived in Turkey for 20 years where he was deeply inspired by the rich cultural mix in Istanbul. He now lives in Sweden where I am interviewing him. Beautiful music is his trademark. His father was a huge musical influence in his life and was the author of a famous book on Arabic Maqams.
