Actidad believes that there are five core principles to being an awesome dad:· Take care of yourself· Spend quality time with your kids· Be a role model· Build trust· Surround yourself with the right communityTogether with Mark, we discuss each of these principles, and how we have had successes with them or where we need to try harder.Find out Mark’s thoughts on children being exposed to social and mainstream media. Are there benefits to the exposure to one over the other, or are they both equally dangerous? Are ultra-violent video games dangerous to our children? Chris shares a story about his cousin playing Grand Theft Auto III as a very young child.Lastly Mark talks about his work with the dads from the Father’s Rights Movement. In the event, that your marriage falls apart and you lose custody of a child, how would you feel if you were only able to spend 4 days a month with your child? Actidad touches not only on the fun parts of being a father but also the difficulties, such as the time we get to see our kids. This song has special meaning to me as I spent hours and hours using this song to create a video for my oldest daughter's first birthday. Chris Daughtry himself describes the song as, "Lyrically, this song is kind of like a letter to my kids, all of them," he said. "No matter where you are, I'm always going to be Dad. I'm always going to fight for you." Check the song out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oB9XLv77A8g.
