The world is in the grips of panic about the coronavirus, I am addicted to the 24-hour new cycle and have been using it as an anxiety release in social situations. Somehow reading about this global catastrophe feels like a calming escape from the anxieties of prolonged social interaction. At least I'm not panic-buying toilet paper.
