Cuff and Mo make a trip over to The Astute Gentleman in Farmer’s Branch to sit down with the talented poet, Keya McClain. Now an author of seven books, the St. Louis native explains where her passion for writing comes from and gives us a look behind the curtain to see how her creative process works. McClain opens up how she took a leap of faith by moving to Dallas and how she got introduced to the cigar community in DFW. Keya talks about some of the hardships she’s overcome throughout her life while building her audience and her business portfolio and what it means to her to execute a VISION. She also breaks down how aspiring writers can become self published through various platforms and the steps she takes personally to put a project out into the marketplace.
