Lately, I’ve been reflecting on the concept of white privilege. It’s been a hot topic over the past few years, and as someone who visually presents as white, I’ve been told I benefit from it. People have said that my skin colour has opened doors to economic opportunities, and that my achievements were secondary to that advantage. Personally, I find that idea hard to accept.

It raises an important question: what opportunities do minority groups lack that I’ve supposedly had? When I really think about it, I struggle to come up with an answer.

To unpack this, we sat down with our videographer Isaac, who is Black, for a candid and respectful discussion. Isaac believes white privilege is real, and in this episode, we dive into our differing perspectives.

We explore whether times have changed, what privilege means today, and if we’re truly living in a society where everyone has equal access to opportunity.
