Lament. It's not on anyone's bucket list of things they look forward to doing, but it is an essential tool in the disciple's toolbox. David wrote in Ps. 56:8 "Record my lament; list my tears on your scroll – are they not in your record?" How did he know that God records our tears - that no matter what - every prayer is heard and considered? How did David respond with faith in v. 10-11 "In God, whose word I praise, in the LORD, whose word I praise – in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?"
