False Pleasures are things that do to avoid feeling, mainly negative emotion.
We feel entitled to feel happy and pleasure all of the time. And that entitlement makes us miserable.
I think part of the reason why that is, is because programmed by culture to use false pleasure.
go eat something.
go buy something.
go drink something
do that thing that will bring you pleasure.
So many of us do this because these false pleasure trick our brain into thinking we’re really happy.
What happens is the the more we eat, the more we eat; the more we drink, the more we drink. It becomes like this continual issue in our lives because pleasure just wants more pleasure.
