For The Love Of Running

EP 13 - Running in the Military

Listen Later

In EP 13 I interview Ricky Orange who has spent the last 36 years in the Army Reserves and also works for the army in a civilian role as a contract specialist. We talk about his love of racing half marathons, his goal to run a race in every state, and how he came a distance runner while in the military. Ricky and I also talk about the heartbreaking murder of Ahmaud Arbery, a 25 year old black man who was hunted down and shot while running. Ricky shares stories of his own experience as a black man running in new places across the country and world. This is an important conversation that you don’t want to miss. This interview was recorded July 8, 2020.
