On April 30th, Walmart announced that after five years, it would be closing its 51 Walmart Health Centers. The closure is due to rising costs and reimbursement issues. Walmart Health, which offered urgent care and dental services, aimed to open in every Walmart store. The closure presents opportunities for urgent care clinics to acquire cheap leases, equipment, and recruit new team members.
