Heyo, weirdos! We missed you. Yes, we know it’s only been a week. That’s fine! Join us as we head to a city we both love, London! As likely the only international city both Jordan and Chelsea have been to, we both have a lot to say about the area. We’re in love with it, what can we say? Wikipedia research coming in hot for today’s story, the Barnes mystery. Haven’t heard of it? A woman decided murder was a good way to deal with a difficult employer.
Notable Show Moments11:10 — We’re heading to LUN-DON!
16:43 — Things to do
26:54 — We are currently scouring the internet to find the video of Jordan flying on a broomstick over London. Please check back soon.
30:39 — Delicious things to eat
40:02 — Time for some murder
00:00 — This next week is about to be good
Gin & Tonic — Jordan insists they are delicious. Chelsea does not.
Strongbow Original Dry Cider — A little sweet for us, but not entirely terrible!
Bangers & Mash — Sausage and potaotes. Likely the best comfort food to ever exist.
Fish & Chips — A British Classic.
Meat Pies — Not the kind from Sweeney Todd.
Shepherd’s Pie — Ground beef and veggies soaked in a broth topped with mashed potatoes and cheese.
Traditional English Breakfast — Eggs, sausage links, baked beans, sauteed mushrooms, roasted tomatoes, toast, and black pudding (aka blood sausage that uses *real* blood).
Afternoon Tea — Scones. Pastries. Finger sandwiches. Yum.
Cask Beer — Room-temperature beer, aka a local favorite.
Indian Food — Due to the high Indian population, this cuisine is very popular and delish.
Patisserie Valerie — A local chain good for croissants and pastries.
Nando’s Chicken — A local chain with peri peri sauce. Click here to view Ed Sheeran’s freestyle song honoring this restaurant.
Wagamama — Local Asian chain with fancy conveyor belts that have replaced traditional waitstaff.
Pret-A-Manger — Local chain like Jimmy John’s but BETTER.
Tower of London — Everybody who was anybody was beheaded here.
Parliament — Huge golden building where the British political leaders meet. Also Big Ben lives here.
Westminster Abbey — Huge gothic-style building where many dead royals are buried.
Buckingham Palace — Official residence of British royals. Keep an eye out for the queen’s corgis.
London Eye — That eye in the sky you see in every postcard of London’s skyline.
Fictional Fandom Tours — If you’re a nerd, there’s a tour for you. Harry Potter. Sherlock Holmes. Alice in Wonderland. Downton Abbey. Pick One.
Warner Bros. Studios — The site where Chelsea got engaged to her fab husband.
Camden Market — Local shopping with food stall vendors representing different countries.
British Museum — A museum surprisingly not about Britain at all.
Thank you so much for listening! We are so incredibly grateful for your support, love, and ongoing attention. You must like us to be here, and we just have to admit we like you too. If you haven’t given us a review on Apple Podcasts yet, your 5-star feedback helps us reach more people. Which is what we want, obviously. The more the merrier!
Until next time — stay weird, le strangers.
