A year ago, I walked into therapy thinking I was dealing with postpartum anxiety. What I found instead was clarity, kindness, and a brand new way of understanding my brain. This episode is me looking back on a full year of ADHD therapy and sharing the biggest things that changed everything for me.
We talk about the difference between anxiety and ADHD overwhelm. Why my brain isn’t chaotic, it’s responding exactly the way it was designed to. How procrastination can actually be a tool. Why rest doesn’t always look like sitting still. How making things easier isn’t cheating. And why being supported doesn’t make you weak.
I share the tools that helped me most: bridge rituals, anchor timers, sensory-friendly routines, and building a “tool belt” instead of searching for one perfect system. More than anything, this episode is about learning to stop fighting your brain and start being on your own side.
If you have ADHD, suspect you might, or just feel exhausted from trying to function the “right” way, I hope this episode feels like a deep exhale. And if therapy isn’t accessible to you right now, I hope this gives you language, permission, and a few tools to start offering yourself more kindness anyway.
