IFBB Pro Fitness Model Tawna McCoy joins Dr. Nutt to discuss her battle with Breast Implant Illness.
After months of worsening symptoms and a sense of her body falling apart, Tawna became frustrated with the lack of answers from her doctors. She knew something was seriously wrong, but all her tests came back normal and her doctors continued to tell her she was healthy and that her symptoms were in her head.
As a last resort, Tawna decided to have an explant surgery to remove her breast implants, which she had for 9 years. Finally, she began to feel better and her hope for better health returned.
Tawna's experience parallels thousands of women with similar symptoms after receiving breast implants. Her story is a reminder of the choices we make and their unintended consequences on our long term health.
