We get into the infamous Slap. Discussion around this incident at the Oscars is especially relevant as we watched the disgraceful SCOTUS confirmation hearings for Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson. From the judiciary committee to the Oscars we should all take a serious step back and reflect on the historic and widespread disrespect black women endure. There are so many ways this country and its citizens need to improve, and a great start would be to give black women the basic respect they deserve. Senate Democrats could also take note.
