Be Bold, Fierce, Unstoppable

Ep # 17 Finding Your Inner Discipline with Nate Rifkin

Listen Later

When Nate Rifkin began his journey not coming from a well to do family setting which caused him much pain, dealing with suicidal thoughts and finding himself drinking vodka and energy drinks every morning to get through the day.

He dropped out of college after 18 months, went broke, bankrupt, and even worked on street corners waving around a sign, trying to make sense of life.

However, Nate learned a little-known spiritual discipline that helped him transform his thoughts, emotions, financial life, and find love after his mentor taught him what he was studying.

When Nate started the practice he started off with one minute a day, still keeping true to his drinking pattern in the morning as he was still dealing with a great deal of depression.

Adding 5 seconds every time Nate found his body buzzing that felt just as good as the alcohol he was drinking. One day lead to another the booze made him feel awful that didn’t take him to the next and his new meditation practice brought him to new elevations in his life.

Nate then took his bottle and tossed it down the sink, as he was tapping deeper into his meditation practice.

Nate realized he was on a spiritual journey as he brought his life down to a minimum realizing many parts of himself.

We speak about how to stay on the path and never to give up on yourself, when you start a new meditation or spiritual practice.

Having a daily short discipline is important to create a habit on order to create a routine.

Nate was going through many difficulties in his life wondering if he was cursed in receiving what he wanted to create in his life, from getting into a car accident to his boss calling off a meeting to get his promotion.

Nate covers what Taoism is and how it helped him through the process of his spiritual awakening that was his foundational work that helped him get through ever challenge while he was learning and growing to creating an amplified life.

As we get deeper into the podcast Nate speaks about the difference between fragile and anti-fragile and how to be able to tap into something greater within your higher power, as we dive deeper into the four pillars of Taoism.

Nate speaks about how to release tension and how it affects the flow of your energy in your body.
