Mardi was born in Portland, Oregon and spent much of her childhood on the north Oregon coast. Her career in the healthcare industry provided her the opportunity to travel extensively throughout the United States. She has also had the privilege of visiting a number of other countries. She is now retired and lives in Houston, Texas.

Mardi and her husband, Ray, share passions for travel, gourmet cooking, the arts and community.  Mardi has found that it is important to engage in a variety of pursuits and experiences that help us better understand the diversity of the world around us. It is this diversity that makes our lives so very rich and rewarding!
