While Scripture is clear that we are not to live according to the flesh, what do we do while we are stuck in the Flesh? Paul stopped to consider those around him and what was for their benefit rather than his own desires. When we grow closer with Jesus, we begin to think less about ourselves and walk in obedience to the Lord even when it means sacrificing our own comfort and longings – no matter how “holy” they are.
