I am back with my recovery buddy Kiem this week to talk about her recent milestone in staying clean. On her previous episode, she was taking a break from partying. This episode she has 5 months & 9 days of clean time. I ask Kiem about how it feels being clean: why she decided to walk away from drugs & alcohol, and how she is managing to do it. Kiem recalls hitting a “wall phase”, going to outpatient treatment & working a drug & alcohol abstinence program & more. Kiem and I never met IRL but we always had similar taste in humor (we laughed for a solid 30 seconds during the convo) memes & our love of getting loaded. It’s awesome to see we both are living a life we never imagined: a life without drugs & alcohol.
